Over 1,000 project proposals were submitted to Foundation Vevey's 7th International Photo Awards. The winner of this biannual award receives roughly 20,000 Euros to complete a personal projectThe jury made a controversial decision by naming two winners this time around. The two photographers both take a documentary approach to their work. The jury "believes that the complementarity of these projects contributes to the current debate on different way of the documentary photography". The monetary award will be divided evenly between them.

G.M.B Akash- (Bangladesh) b. 1977
